Description
Base board trim and pine trim boards is the part of a rooms "foundation" that connects the floor to the wall. It provides style accents the walls, which add to a home's personality.
Without Base board trim, rooms look primitive and unsophisticated. Sometimes, when a home is built, the builder installs "construction grade" materials that look OK at first, but do not add any style or class.

The manufacturing process involves:
Checking for Moisture: The moisture content of every rough trim board is measured before going to the planer line for sizing. High moisture content pine trim boards are rejected.
Checking for Defects: trim Boards are sized and then transferred to the optimized defecting line, where they are scanned by two x-ray heads and four cameras to read defects both inside and outside the wood. Two automated chop saws remove all defects, including knots, wane, splits and pith.
Finger Jointing: Blocks are conveyed to two state-of-the-art Weinig finger jointers. Blocks are finger-jointed together using Franklin exterior-grade glue (D4).
Edge Gluing: F/J blanks can either be further processed for edge gluing to manufacture pine trim boards of any width or go directly to the molding line for surfacing.
Surfacing: Weinig molders plane each finger-jointed pine trim boards, resulting in a glass-like surface. Molding the pine trim boards eliminates any raised grain and makes the surface perfectly smooth and ideal for priming.
Priming: The raw, defect-free, finger-jointed trim board receive two or three coats of machine-applied primer (exterior acrylic latex). Each trim board is buffered between coats of primer.
Packaging and Shipping: When the trim board are finally finished, they are carefully packaged to simplify container loading and unloading. Package sizes are determined by individual customer requirements.
Loads of finished trim board are shipped in 40-foot shipping containers. During the loading process, they are given a final quality check to ensure that only perfect pine trim boards are shipped to customers.
